Butterfly brooches made from tapestry off-cuts and horses made from an old quilt.
Remember this? - our suzani mattress. It felt as big as a mattress handsewing around the outside. It's a bit big and the next one we do in this style will definitely be smaller! Anyway, pretty happy with the result. Also made a matching cushion out of the other suzani pictured. Such beautiful textiles to work with. Easy to look good.
Loving the result of our recent shoot. We're pretty proud of it! We did it completely LOCALLY. Local photographer, model, graphic artist and of course local designing and manufacturing. Not bad for the FARRR South Coast!!
We just took delivery of a couple of bales of vintage textiles direct from LA. Who'd think you could buy it by the bale? There are some beautiful old cloths in there, in fact some are too good to cut up! Maybe they'll be snuck into my personal stash.
Here's some behind the scenes shots of our Dowry Summer shoot. We are sooooo excited about it. Can't wait to show you the final shots. Keep a look out on the website. Very home grown country shoot with our gorgeous model from up the road (literally) and the photographer 25mins up the other road. How's that plait?
We found this chair by the roadside in a recent council clean up. It was covered in a terrible home handyman upholstery job with tacks hammered everywhere. The back was completely covered in foam. So far I've stripped and sanded it - now what fabric to use???? Watch what happens next - stay posted.
